Next - Oxford Street - London
Just in time for the Christmas Season 2018, Next opened one of their largest stores on the busiest street in London. It was a project that spanned over six months and spanning over serveral floors, with numerous changes to not only the design layout, but also to the finished concept. The project was to prove even more exceptionally challenging and encompassing than Gateshead, due to being in this hectic street, but was delivered on time and to an exceptionally high standard, once again. As a Next nominated contractor Sissons and Allen were responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of all electrical services, the fire detection systems, the emergency lighting systems and all of the relevant mechanical, client and third party interfaces that go hand in hand with a modern complex building.
The project, which needed to meet the client’s high exacting standards and strict deadline for opening, required our onsite teams to work closely with the client’s construction and fit out specialists and achieve critical landmarks in a multiple layered program. Our site foreman said “It was a very difficult project with complex programming & delivery issues, but it was a one of those landmark jobs you wanted to do and do well and it is great to have been associated with it” The store which opened to queues, has brought glowing comments from the client and customers alike and Sissons and Allen wish Next and all of their employees many happy years of trading in their new store & we look forward to our next challenge.
